Martin Maudsley | Common Threads

Storyteller Martin Maudsley performs Common Threads, a commissioned spoken word piece weaving folklore, oral history and personal stories of Bridport and its landscapes.

Storyteller and writer Martin Maudsley presents Common Threads, a performance piece specially commissioned for the Bridport Literary Festival. Mixing folklore, oral history and personal experience, it draws on stories he has researched and re-imagined about Bridport and its surrounding landscapes since moving to Dorset in 2013. The spoken word tapestry of living voices and traditional heritage will be delivered for the first time in the newly renovated workshop space of Oxenbury's Yard.
