The Dark Matter Mystery Planetarium Event

A 1.5-hour planetarium show at Grizedale Observatory exploring the mystery of dark matter, followed by a close-up look at meteorites.

This event begins with a presentation in the lounge before moving to the planetarium for a full-dome screening of the film 'The Dark Matter Mystery'. The show explains why scientists believe dark matter exists and follows researchers hunting for it with experiments in space and deep underground. Afterwards, visitors head to the meteorite room to see rocks from space up close. The event lasts 1.5 hours and is suitable for ages 11 and over.
