Seaweed Pressing and Soap Making

A hands-on coastal workshop at Flamborough combining soap-making with seaweed and a shoreline walk to gather and press seaweeds as artwork.

This workshop begins indoors at the Living Seas Centre, where participants craft a set of soaps using seaweed and learn about its natural qualities. The group then heads to the beach to collect seaweeds of different shapes, colours and textures, pressing them to create unique pieces of coastal artwork. Sessions run inside and out over uneven, slippery surfaces, so waterproof footwear is recommended; assistance dogs only.
