Volunteering at the Hackney Tree Nursery
Price
Free
Free published booking. Availability can change; the volunteering booking page currently shows sold out while the operator website describes drop-in sessions.
About
Help care for young trees through seasonal nursery tasks such as potting, weeding, seed collection and tool maintenance.
Arrive between ten and half past ten for introductions and briefing. Tools and instruction are provided; bring lunch, with tea and coffee supplied. Volunteers may leave before three. The website welcomes drop-ins while the booking page asks people to sign up. Child eligibility is unclear: the official nursery FAQ excludes children from workdays, while the booking FAQ permits supervised children; check with the organiser before bringing a child.
