Wellbeing Weekends
About
A free, beginner-friendly nature and wellbeing course for adults in Sunderland’s coalfield communities.
Wellbeing Weekends is a beginner-friendly course offering time outdoors, social connection and nature-based activities for adult residents of the Sunderland Coalfield area. The published in-window sessions are: 24 October, Seasons Changing Wildlife Walk; 31 October, Spooky Sunderland; 7 November, Art within Nature; and 14 November, Bug Hotel Crafts. Each listed session runs 10:00–12:00. Meet at ELCAP before heading outdoors into Elemore Park for the activities. The Trust recommends attending all six course sessions, but each session is booked separately; people may attend even if they cannot make every session. The pages state that the programme is free. If a carer or support worker attends, book their place too. Contact Lyze Bell before booking if access support such as a virtual site tour would help.
