Birds and a Brew December, Birds and Christmas
About
A festive morning at the Nature Discovery Centre with a brew, a talk on birds and Christmas traditions, and an optional bird-spotting walk.
The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust hosts a relaxed session combining a hot drink, a talk about birds and nature, and an optional bird-spotting walk around the site. The December edition explores festive connections to birds, including why robins appear on Christmas cards, what kind of partridge sits in the pear tree, and why turkey is the traditional Christmas dinner. The walk is optional and may vary in length depending on what is spotted on the day; the session sometimes runs past 2pm but attendees are free to leave whenever they need to.
