An Evening Under the Stars
About
An evening of astronomy talks and guided stargazing with telescopes at College Lake Nature Reserve, hosted by BBOWT and UK Astronomy.
The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust hosts a winter stargazing evening at College Lake Nature Reserve with the UK Astronomy team. The session opens with a talk exploring the local solar system, followed by a refreshment break and a stargazing session using a range of telescopes set up by UK Astronomy; visitors with their own binoculars or scopes are welcome to bring them. If weather prevents stargazing, the second half becomes an indoor session on naked-eye observing. Aimed at beginners of any age, the event runs 3 hours 15 minutes, with under-16s welcome when accompanied by at least two booked adults.
