Choral Evensong in Celebration of American Thanksgiving 2026

A special choral evensong at Chichester Cathedral celebrating American Thanksgiving, with a sermon by The Revd Steven McGregor.

Chichester Cathedral holds this annual Thanksgiving service, introduced at the request of the Chichester Cathedral American Patrons, marking the connections between Sussex and North America. The service takes place in the cathedral's 12th century Quire and all are welcome, particularly the American community in Sussex. The sermon will be delivered by The Revd Steven McGregor, Interim Chaplain at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, originally from Florida and a former Captain in the 101st Airborne Division.
