Mike Nelson: Double Negative (The Clown)

A major new immersive installation by Mike Nelson reimagining his 2004 work Triple Bluff Canyon, free to visit at Modern Art Oxford.

Mike Nelson returns to Modern Art Oxford with a major new commission reimagining his 2004 work Triple Bluff Canyon from a contemporary perspective. The immersive installation combines new sculptures with remnants of former works and materials gathered over his career, invoking belief systems, freedom and protest. The exhibition parodies contemporary self-obsession and traces shifting ideas of freedom from mid-twentieth-century counterculture to modern libertarianism.
