Functional Pottery Short Course (Autumn 26)

A four-session Friday evening pottery course for beginners covering hand building, throwing and glazing, with a Christmas decorations and gifts theme.

This four-week course introduces the basics of working with clay, from hand building and throwing on the potters' wheel to glazing finished pieces. The autumn term has a Christmas theme, with participants making decorations or functional pieces such as mugs, bowls or plates to give as gifts. No experience is needed, and sessions run on Friday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at the West End Centre's well-equipped studio, led by ceramicist Amy Doe.
