ASSC Regional Gathering: Fort William

A day-long ASSC conference for self-catering operators on regulation, market data and tourism's value, with talks, panels and networking.

The Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers holds its final Regional Gathering of 2026 at the Highland Cinema in Fort William, themed "Meeting the Challenges, Seizing the Opportunities". The programme covers Scotland's evolving regulatory landscape — licensing, planning control areas, the visitor levy and non-domestic rates — alongside market data, membership updates and a panel on telling a more positive story about tourism. Sessions include a State of the Nation address by Fiona Campbell MBE and a Highland perspective from Angus MacDonald MP, with question-and-answer time, exhibitors and networking. The event supports charity partner Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team.
