About
Seven ceramic pieces celebrate Liverpool potter Julia Carter Preston’s centenary.
The display explores Carter Preston’s freehand sgraffito technique, in which designs are scratched into wet clay. Her ceramics form part of a city-wide centenary commemoration organised through the Hope Carter Preston Foundation. The Walker display runs 11 September 2026–28 February 2027.
