An evening of short stories on the theme of heat, written and performed by Gloucestershire authors, hosted by John Holland as part of Stroud Book Festival.

The award-winning Stroud Short Stories returns to Lansdown Hall with an evening of stories on the theme HOT/HEAT, written and performed by Gloucestershire authors and selected from around a hundred submissions. Editor and organiser John Holland hosts and co-judges the submissions with novelist Joanna Campbell. The event is part of the 2026 Stroud Book Festival, includes an interval with a bar, and is dedicated to the late SSS regular Simon Piney. The new 300-page anthology Stroud Short Stories Volume Four 2022-2025 will be available to buy on the night.
