About
A free Stroud Book Festival event announcing the winners of the Laurie Lee Prize for Writing 2026 with first public readings of the winning works.
The winners of the Laurie Lee Prize for Writing 2026 will be announced in two categories, for writers over 21 and aged 16-20. The event includes the first public readings from the successful works. Now in its fifth year, the prize supports emerging Gloucestershire authors whose prose and poetry capture the spirit of place, nature and human experience. Attendance is limited to 150 and free tickets must be booked in advance.
