A guided history tour of Elsecar's industrial village, tracing its growth from 1700s farms to a 19th-century centre of collieries and ironworks.
This walking tour explores how Elsecar developed from a small collection of farms in the 1700s into a bustling industrial village of collieries, ironworks, workshops and workers' houses by the mid-19th century. It starts at the Visitor Centre at 1pm on Wednesday 28 October and lasts approximately two hours.
