About
The second installment of Patricio Guzmán’s documentary trilogy, titled The Coup d’État, continues its contemporaneous record of Chile’s political crisis.
Guzmán’s official filmography presents The Battle of Chile as a documentary filmed in Santiago from 1972 until the coup of 11 September 1973. BFI identifies its second installment as The Coup d’État (1976), between the bourgeois insurrection and Popular Power.
