Heritage Wood Illuminated Walk 2026

A one-mile illuminated woodland trail at Heritage Wood near Ashbourne, with light displays and illuminated trees.

Follow a marked one-mile woodland trail through illuminated displays and light effects, with music along the route. A marquee, hot drinks, food and craft stalls are available before or after the walk. The outdoor path has uneven, stony sections; pushchairs and wheels may need extra effort, and mobility scooters must be arranged with the office in advance. The displays include lasers, moving lights and occasional flashing or strobing effects. Keep to the marked path and supervise children and vulnerable adults closely; there are areas of unfenced water. All ages are welcome, and dogs may attend on a lead with a pre-purchased £1 ticket. Parking is free with a parking ticket added to the booking; disabled badge holders can ask parking staff for a designated space. Tickets are bought online in advance. The outdoor walk takes place after dark in winter and normally goes ahead except in exceptional unsafe conditions.
