About
An after-dark guided forest walk uses torchlight to reveal biofluorescence in insects, plants, fungi and other wildlife.
The guide-led walk introduces biofluorescence in insects, plants, fungi and other wildlife, then explores the forest after dark with torches. It lasts approximately 120 minutes and meets at St John’s Hut, the blue building near the Visitor Centre. The outdoor route can be uneven, muddy or sloped; dogs are not permitted. The Visitor Centre is closed during these evening events, though toilets are available at the start. The two published dates are 14 and 15 November 2026, 16:30–18:30.
