In Conversation with Raj Patel, co-chair of IPES-Food
About
Author and IPES-Food co-chair Raj Patel joins an expert panel to discuss hope for sustainable food systems amid climate, geopolitical and corporate pressures.
The Cambridge Conservation Initiative hosts a discussion with Raj Patel, award-winning author and co-chair of IPES-Food, on the crisis facing the global food system. Patel and an expert panel consider whether approaches that put people and nature at the centre — such as agroecology and food sovereignty — offer hope, and what tackling the power relations behind harmful industrial food systems would require. The event is free with registration, and attendees can join either in person at the David Attenborough Building or online.
