Family Art Class

A monthly Saturday art class at the Shipley Art Gallery where 7-12 year olds and their grown-ups learn techniques such as watercolours, ceramics and printmaking with a professional artist.

Family Art Class is a monthly Saturday session for 7-12 year olds and their accompanying adults, with accompanied teenagers also welcome. Each session is taught by a professional artist and explores different techniques including watercolours, ceramics, mixed media, drawing and printmaking. Upcoming themes include making ink stamps, cyanotype printing outdoors, and creating a fold-out nature book with natural dyes. Sessions run in two time slots and are designed to be welcoming and inclusive, including for young people with SEND and neurodiversities.
