What Does Feminist Punk Mean Today?

A panel discussion and hands-on workshop exploring what feminist punk means today, with musicians and organisers from the contemporary punk scene.

The Feminist Library hosts an evening examining the legacy and future of feminist punk, from Poly Styrene and The Raincoats to Riot Grrrl and Bikini Kill. A 45-minute facilitated panel discussion with musicians Alexa Moore (Contract Killer) and Dixie Dix (Dixie Dix and the Rebel Pixies), plus an organiser from the London School of Solarpunk, is followed by a short break and a hands-on workshop. Through conversation, music, archive material and audience participation, the session considers DIY culture, mutual aid and community building in the age of algorithms and online misogyny. Presented by the London School of Solarpunk in partnership with Womxn of Punk.
