About

A practical evening talk at Sarabande Foundation where two journalists share advice on pitching yourself and your work to the press.

Craig McLean, Consultant Editor of The Face and freelance journalist, and Lauren Cochrane, Senior Fashion Writer at The Guardian, lead a practical session on getting creative work noticed by the press. Doors open at 7pm with the talk starting at 7:30pm, running for 75 minutes. Topics include identifying the right contacts, writing subject lines that get opened, crafting a compelling pitch and handling the follow-up. The event is aimed at designers, artists and makers hoping to see their work featured or reviewed.
