About

Artist and activist Tania Bruguera and writer Pankaj Mishra discuss politics, culture and dissent in a talk chaired by Gallery Director Gilane Tawadros.

Part of Whitechapel Gallery’s Art Futures series, this 90-minute discussion considers the responsibilities of artists and arts institutions amid contested political developments and how cultural organisations can become platforms for dissent. Tania Bruguera and Pankaj Mishra are the speakers; Gilane Tawadros chairs. Tickets are offered for in-person attendance and a simultaneous livestream. The event is suitable for ages 16 and over; a personal assistant place is available by advance arrangement.
