Rebecca Moss: Shapeshifter
About
Rebecca Moss installs a playful movement-game intervention in Tate St Ives' curved gallery, inspired by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham's abstract paintings.
Rebecca Moss presents Shapeshifter, a playful intervention in Tate St Ives' curved Gallery 8 overlooking the Atlantic. Inspired by a popular movement game, visitors are invited to play an alternative version influenced by the modernist abstract paintings of Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, whose work was shaped by the landscapes of Cornwall, Scotland and continental Europe. Moss's practice uses absurdist interventions with space to explore feminist and embodied relationships to the world. The work launches as part of the Tate St Ives Winter Festival 2026, when Moss will live host the game play.
