Pilsbury Castle & Sheen Hill | 10km | Women Only

A women-only 10km guided circular walk in the Upper Dove Valley visiting the Norman earthworks of Pilsbury Castle and climbing Sheen Hill.

This women-only guided walk explores the Upper Dove Valley on a moderate 10.1km circular route with 282m of ascent. The main historical stop is Pilsbury Castle, a little-known Norman motte-and-bailey site overlooking the River Dove, where the group will discuss the castle's story and its possible links to the de Ferrers family. The route then climbs Sheen Hill for views across the valley, walking at a relaxed, sociable pace. The walk lasts around four hours and requires a reasonable level of hill fitness.
