A two-panel public artwork by Renée Levi brings bold colour and painterly gestures to the Hayward Gallery’s brutalist facade.

Renée Levi’s September responds to the Hayward Gallery’s concrete facade, using its texture, projecting forms and windows as part of a vibrant two-panel painting. The Hayward Gallery and Audemars Piguet Contemporary co-commissioned the outdoor work; it is Levi’s first large-scale public commission in the UK. It is scheduled to be on view from 23 September to 15 November 2026.
