Book Binding

A one-day bookbinding workshop at Beverley Minster where participants make a pocket-sized hardback notebook using medieval-inspired techniques.

Led by bookbinder Linette Withers of Anachronalia, this workshop draws inspiration from the Minster and medieval imagery. Participants learn the full process of making a pocket-sized hardback notebook to take home: sewing pages, attaching endpapers, rounding and lining the spine, making covers and casing in, with covers decorated in book cloth and decorative papers. The class runs 10.30–15.30 with 10 places, and refreshments are provided.
