Alexandra Shulman: Black Coffee and Red Lipstick
About
Former British Vogue editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman discusses her essay collection Black Coffee and Red Lipstick at Topping & Company's Edinburgh event.
Alexandra Shulman, who edited British Vogue from 1992 to 2017, appears to talk about Black Coffee and Red Lipstick, a collection of essays blending reflections on domestic daily life with thoughts on style and self-presentation. Drawing on her 25 years at Vogue and her current life as a freelance writer and columnist, she explores topics from the quest for perfect eyeliner to picnics, friendship, siblings, gardening and grey hair. The event takes place at Edinburgh New Town Church with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
