John Bellany: Anchored

An exhibition exploring John Bellany’s depictions of fishing communities and the sea through works spanning his career, including pieces shown publicly for the first time.

Bellany’s paintings explore the lives of fishing communities in eastern Scotland and the relationship between people and the sea. The exhibition brings museum works together with loans from the Royal Scottish Academy and includes two works shown publicly for the first time. Admission is included with a museum ticket.
