Birdvox, an electro-folk collective born from the audio-visual project Northern Flyway, headline The Art School in support of their debut album Shamming The Drama, produced with Peter Brewis of Field Music. Their sound blends traditional folk roots with synthesis and intricate vocal harmonies, described as 'avian electronica' and political disco, with lyrics in English, Scots, Shetland dialect and the extinct Scandinavian language Norn. The album explores themes from environmental issues to gender politics through danceable, melodic pop.
