Wild Halloween at Lackford Lakes

A nature-themed Halloween trail after dark, with bug hunting, moth-trap viewing, bat detectors, owl-pellet exploration and a clay-creature activity.

Follow an after-dark trail of nature activities: make a tin-can bug hotel, examine owl pellets, hunt bugs by torchlight, view moths at the trap, listen for bats with detectors and make a clay creature. Fancy dress is encouraged. Book an arrival slot between 16:30 and 19:00 on 29 or 30 October. Activities take approximately 1–1.5 hours, with no individual time limit; the event finishes at 19:30 and visitors must leave the site by 20:00. Recommended for ages 5 and over; bring a torch and a tin can.
