Lunchtime Talk: Holidays – The Rise of the Seaside Break
Price
£3–8
£3 for annual-pass holders. £8 for non-holders, including the talk and a 12-month annual pass.
About
The Collections Team explores how Scarborough holidays changed as transport, working lives and social attitudes shifted, using objects and artworks from the “Dive In” exhibition.
The talk follows Scarborough’s development from a resort for wealthy visitors to a destination for families, and considers why generations came for relaxation, adventure and time by the sea. The £8 non-pass ticket includes the £3 talk admission and a new 12-month annual pass.
