Weaving in a Day

A full-day loom-weaving workshop in which participants plan a small fabric piece and try yarns and weave structures.

Participants weave a small fabric piece on a prepared loom, choosing from a range of yarns and structures; possible outcomes include fabric for a cushion cover, folded purse, placemats or table runner. This is a beginner-friendly introduction for a small group of up to six, with group demonstrations and one-to-one support. Tea, coffee and cake are provided. The workshop focuses on weaving; sewing the work into a finished product is not included.
