2 Day NNAS Gold Navigation Course: Advanced Navigation Mastery
About
A two-day accredited NNAS Gold Navigator Award course in the Howgill Fells covering advanced contour reading, precision compass work and poor-visibility navigation.
This two-day course, based from Ravenstonedale in the Howgill Fells, delivers the National Navigation Award Scheme Gold Navigator Award, the highest non-professional personal navigation accreditation in the UK. Aimed at experienced walkers, mountain marathon runners and outdoor leaders, it covers micro-contour navigation, high-precision compass bearings, complex relocation strategies, route efficiency and navigation in darkness or zero visibility. The course is led by qualified Mountain Leader and former NNAS Board Director Fabian Seymour, with NNAS Gold certification awarded on successful assessment. Candidates must hold the NNAS Silver Navigator Award or have extensive documented navigation experience.
