Adaptive Judo Conference with focus on Coaching Adaptive Judoka with Physical Impairments
About
A one-day British Judo coach education conference in Walsall on coaching judoka with physical impairments, combining classroom presentations and mat-based sessions.
Led by Kerry Tansey, with EJU representation possibly attending, this practical and educational conference covers coaching judoka with physical impairments across different learning and delivery styles. The day runs from registration at 9am to 4pm, alternating presentations on coaching and lived athlete experience with mat-based sessions in the dojo, plus a lunchtime chat and talk and updates on competition pathways. It is open to the wider judo community including coaches, officials, referees and families, and full-day attendance counts as one credit towards coach revalidation. Tea and coffee are provided; attendees bring their own food and need judo suits or comfortable clothing.
