Chester Humanists Out Loud

A free twice-monthly drop-in group where an extract, short story or poem is read aloud, with pauses for friendly discussion over tea or coffee.

Chester Humanists Out Loud is an informal, friendly group meeting twice a month on the second and fourth Thursday. Amanda leads each session, reading aloud an extract, short story or poem and providing the texts, with frequent pauses for participants to share what they imagined, thought or felt. Sessions include a break for tea or coffee, and no one else need read aloud unless they wish. It is described as an enjoyable way to meet people and explore great writing as a form of ethical exploration.
