RoyalOpera: Cosi fan Tutte (12A)

A live and recorded cinema screening of The Royal Opera's contemporary reimagining of Mozart's comedy Cosi fan Tutte, sung in Italian with subtitles.

South Hill Park's Cinema hosts a screening of The Royal Opera's Cosi fan Tutte, a live and recorded broadcast running 210 minutes with one interval. Netia Jones, Associate Director of The Royal Opera, reimagines Mozart's comedy of manners through a contemporary lens, pairing 18th-century romantic trickery with satirical high-tech deceit. The story follows two young men who, spurred on by a bet, test their girlfriends' fidelity, sending the four lovers into a dizzying world of shifting reality. Sung in Italian with subtitles, the production features an exciting young cast and is conducted by Thomas Hengelbrock.
