About

A free Light Night Leeds installation of two shadow carousels casting folkloric silhouettes around Clothworkers' Court, set to Britten's 'A Ceremony of Carols'.

Two shadow carousels, lit by a single central lamp each, revolve to throw large-scale silhouettes of hot air balloons, woodland animals, mythical characters and circus scenes onto the walls of Clothworkers' Court. The shadow stories are accompanied by chimes and birdsong from Benjamin Britten's 'A Ceremony of Carols', arranged by Dan Fox. The installation, created by Hannah Fox, Dan Fox and Bob Fisher and originally commissioned by the National Trust for Winter at Sizergh, runs alongside the Quite Shameless vampire exhibition in the Treasures of the Brotherton.
