Poppies Project (stitch clubs)

The Poppies Project is an 18-month community craft initiative inviting participation in free stitch club sessions to create a large-scale poppy installation for Remembrance 2027.

Participants are invited to create handmade poppies using any textile method, such as knitting, crochet, sewing, or embroidery. These poppies will contribute to a massive collective artwork displayed at Lichfield Cathedral for Remembrance 2027. Free community Poppy Stitch Club sessions are held at the Cathedral to help participants learn skills and contribute to the project.
