Christmas Calligraphy Workshop at Barton Grange Garden Centre

A festive two-and-a-half-hour modern calligraphy workshop at Barton Grange Garden Centre, taught by Lucy and Polly Mellor of Mellor & Rose.

Mellor & Rose lead a Christmas-themed modern calligraphy workshop covering the fundamentals of dip pen technique, pressure and rhythm, before moving on to upper and lower case alphabets, linking letters, words and phrases. Participants then learn decorative flourishes and how to lay out greeting cards and design a piece of festive wall art with luxury stationery. Each attendee receives a calligraphy starter kit with dip pen, nib, themed workbook and take-home templates to keep. The 2.5-hour session includes two tutors for one-to-one tuition.
