About

Theatre Royal Wakefield stages its family pantomime Beauty and the Beast, a festive musical comedy running from November 2026 to January 2027.

Theatre Royal Wakefield's annual family pantomime returns, written by Chris Hannon, with a Beauty and the Beast story set in Le Wakey ahead of its Summer Festival, disrupted by a mysterious beast in the woods. The show promises music, comedy and water-pistol mayhem in the venue's tradition of past pantos including Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Relaxed performances take place on Wednesday 2 December and BSL-signed performances on Wednesday 9 December.
