About
A Black History Month screening of archival film and footage, followed by a workshop to scan and share personal family archives.
Curated by artist Abel Holsborough, this programme centres Black residents of Barking and Dagenham and explores how Black British lives are represented in film archives. After the screening, attendees can bring family photographs, DVDs or tapes for communal scanning and digitisation, contributing to a borough-wide archive of Black life.
