Kaleidoscope: Monthly Open Mic
About
A free monthly open mic night for young people and adults living with a disability, welcoming songs, poems, comedy and music from performers and audience alike.
Kaleidoscope is a monthly open mic evening for, by and with young people and adults living with a disability, held on Thursday evenings at the Garret Theatre. Performers can share a song, poem, comedy sketch or musical performance, with doors at 6.15pm and performances starting from 6.45pm once the performance list closes. Founded in 2018 at the second Kaleidoscope Festival by Storyhouse and the band Dark Arc, the night is hosted by MC Simon and prides itself on being a safe, noisy and encouraging space. All abilities are welcome, whether attending as a performer or as part of the audience, and the event is suitable for ages 16+.
