North Pole Express – Final Day of 2026!

A festive heritage steam train ride from Caverswall Road Station to Dilhorne with on-board entertainers, Santa and gifts, on the final running day of 2026.

The North Pole Express is a Christmas train experience running a return trip of nearly one hour in festive heritage coaches from Caverswall Road Station to Dilhorne. On board, passengers meet elves, a baby polar bear puppet and Santa, with a festive edible treat for everyone, a tipple for adults and a fruit drink plus a gift from Santa for children. First class passengers get extra time with Santa in a private compartment. The station is festively themed, with access via a ramp for wheelchair, pushchair and mobility users, and the cafe and The Foxfield Arms bar are open before and after trips. Multiple departures run on the day, which is the final train of the year.
