Diamonds and Rust Poetry with Hannah Norris

A monthly adult poetry workshop led by Hannah Norris at Broadway Cinema, using everyday words and overheard conversations as inspiration.

Nottingham Writers' Studio hosts this poetry workshop led by Hannah Norris, who encourages participants to find poetry in everyday material such as shopping lists, text messages, graffiti and overheard conversations. Each session offers a theme and set of prompts, drawing on traditional and contemporary poets as well as writers' own experiences, with participants free to interpret or ignore them. The session is open to complete beginners and experienced poets alike, is intended for adults aged 18+ as discussions may touch on mature themes, and often continues informally in the pub afterwards. The event takes place in The Studio at Broadway Cinema and runs for two hours.
