A free multilingual creative writing group for ages 16+ who speak English as another language, meeting on Mondays during term time in Newcastle.

World Writes is a free multilingual creative writing group for people aged 16+ who speak English as another language, facilitated by Mymona Bibi. Sessions support writers to create work in their mother tongue, decentre English and build safer creative spaces for migrants, immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers. The group has previously produced a publication exploring how language interacts with body, place, shape and sounds, and shared work at the West End Writes Spring celebration in May 2025.
