Christmas at the Railway: Thomas Specials

A festive family train experience at Nene Valley Railway with a ride behind Thomas, a visit from Santa and a gift for every child.

Nene Valley Railway hosts a festive family experience in which Thomas hauls a train along the Christmas Branch Line from Wansford to Yarwell and back. Visitors collect a Golden Ticket at the heritage booking office, post a letter to Santa, meet Mrs Claus in the marqueed area and enjoy market cabins and seasonal treats before boarding. On the roughly 50-minute train ride, Santa's elves entertain passengers and Santa visits each child at their seat with a festive wish coin to exchange for a gift at Santa's Toy Shops. The whole experience lasts approximately one to two hours, with around 30 minutes stationary at Yarwell Station.
