About
A free exhibition about indigo — plants, pigments and processes — curated by textile artist Elisabeth Viguie Culshaw at the Auld Kirk Museum in Kirkintilloch.
Shades of Blue explores indigo, the blue colour, its plants, pigments and dyeing processes. It features textile artwork by Elisabeth Viguie Culshaw alongside items from her South East Asian collection and samplers, reflecting seven years of travel to learn indigo from dye masters and practitioners around the world. The exhibition is open 10am–5pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and the artist also hosts 'Conversations' with dye masters from Thailand, Australia and France.
