Richmond Opera presents Handel's Messiah, first performed in Dublin in 1742 and now one of the most enduring works in the classical repertoire. The oratorio is performed by soloists and chorus accompanied by a Baroque orchestra, featuring dramatic solo numbers, powerful choral writing and the famous "Hallelujah" chorus. Two performances take place in atmospheric local churches: St Mary Magdalene Church in Richmond on 14 November and All Saints' Church in Hampton on 28 November, both at 7pm.
