The Plight of the Bumblebee

An evening talk by Lucy Duerdoth of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust on the threats facing UK bumblebees and how to help.

Lucy Duerdoth from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust gives an hour-long talk on the challenges facing bumblebees, one of the UK's most important pollinators. She will explain why bumblebee populations have declined dramatically over the past century — with two species nationally extinct — and what can be done to help. The talk also covers the conservation work being carried out by the trust. Doors open at 6:45 PM and the event is suitable for all ages.
